As Water Program Manager, Miles Johnson implements Environment Now’s Water Program, conducts its communications and outreach initiatives, and assists with grants management and administration.
Before Environment Now, Miles served as a CivicSpark Fellow with CivicWell. During the 2020-21 service year, he worked with Lake County Special Districts to implement an asset management plan to reduce sanitary sewer overflows. Miles has also worked with Seafood Nutrition Partnership and served in the Washington D.C. office of California Congressman John Garamendi.
Miles graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with degrees in Environmental Earth Science, Political Science, and Spanish. He consulted at the Washington University Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic, where he supported legal action on the impacts of local coal-fired power plants.
